Hello! My name is Fi.

I'm a qualified artist and art psychotherapist with a BA in Fine Art and an MA in Art Psychotherapy. Through my lived experience I discovered how powerful art could be for my own wellbeing which in turn led me into the field of art psychotherapy.

At the beginning of my training I worked mostly with looked after children. My work with individuals who have experienced early developmental trauma has led into working in CAMHS inpatient wards and adult addiction services.

My identity as an autistic and ADHDer therapist has meant that I have often ended up working with other neurodivergent individuals over the years. I am a neurodiversity-affirmative practitioner.

I am passionate about making a difference to people's lives through art therapy. Art making can be an empowering process, and when utilised effectively with a qualified therapist, individuals can find meaning and connection to their thoughts, feelings and experiences - leading to understanding, self-compassion and change.

Some of my recent continuous professional development training has included: Walk and talk therapy; Sex and love addiction; Autism and addiction; Autism and trauma; LGBTQ+ mental health awareness; Dyadic art psychotherapy; Art therapy out of doors; Autism training for children and young people's inpatient units; Dealing with distress: working with suicide and self-harm; DBT essentials level 2
